Working with air volumes
During the "Industrial Design Laboratory" course we were asked to create a project with a single material: air. In particular, we were assigned a key word, "Illuminate", from which we then had to develop a coherent project idea.

The ultimate aim was to create a large inflatable structure to be displayed during the exam and a booklet in which we would explain the entire creative process in its entirety.
Our structure takes inspiration from the works of James Turrel, an artist who manages to completely cancel shadows in his works, creating an alienating effect within colored rooms.

To achieve this effect we created a 4 meter diameter sphere of PET thermal blankets following the structure of a soccer ball.
